The Story Behind the Image

Every great photo has a story. Some interesting - "So, there I was...laying in the prone when out of nowhere...wham!" - some not - "So, yeah...I took 1,000 exposures and got lucky with this one." But one thing our photos have in common is platforms like Instagram don't allow the photographer to tell the full story - maybe a blurb but that's it. To talk about what they saw and heard, what was going through their mind, what led up to them making this image, and why it's meaningful to them.

This blog page is how I plan to tell the stories behind some of my favorite images and to bring you along for the journey - to share a sense of what it was like to go out there and see it for myself.
